Biography
Greetings!
I grew up just outside Indianapolis. My bachelor's and master's degrees from Indiana University School of Education provided the background for a career teaching high school and undergrad students about mathematics. My college sweetheart and I were married in 1969, just a few months before he went to Vietnam to lead a platoon through the Central Highlands. We spent most of our adult lives working in education and law while raising our sons at Lake Wawasee, Syracuse, Indiana.
We happily built our Estes home in 2007 and became full time residents in 2011. Mountain driving and hiking adventures are favorite activities. I also very much enjoy reading and knitting. The freedom of retirement provides time for giving service to our community. LWVEP plays a very important role in this area of my life.
