Biography
Karen grew up in Florida and got a B.S. in physical education from the University of Florida and a M.A. in counseling from Ohio State University. From 1976-2001 she coached and taught middle and high school in BV and was the 2nd river rafting outfitter in BV for 25 years. Karen was one of the original local LWV members, helped start Boys & Girls Clubs here, and also helps with the Collegiate Peaks Anglers Chapter of Trout Unlimited. Her “business card” says “Community Activist.” She and her husband, Reed, love to be outside, especially fly fishing, camping, hiking, and playing pickleball.
