LWVADC Fall Kickoff Presentation on Amendment 79 (Formerly Initiative 89) Reproductive Choice - 6 PM
League of Women Voters of Arapahoe and Douglas Counties members and their guests are invited to our Fall Kickoff presentation in-person and online.
This presentation will be an update on reproductive choice in Colorado by guest speaker Karen Middleton of Cobalt. In addition, we'll discuss Amendment 79 (Formerly Initiative 89), the ballot question to protect reproductive rights in Colorado which will be on the November 5 ballot. And we'll discuss how we can help.
"In this time of uncertainty, we need to secure abortion rights and access in the Colorado Constitution, beyond the reach of politics and politicians," says Karen Middleton, president of Cobalt in Colorado.
The League of Women Voters supports, in a pluralistic society, the constitutional right of privacy of the individual to make reproductive choices.
We believe reproductive choice is health care.
