What is this?
The League of Women Voters of Arapahoe and Douglas Counties Homelessness/Affordable Housing Committee will meet on Wednesday, January 19 at 1:00 PM online.
Concerned about homelessness and the lack of affordable housing in the metro area? We would love to have more members join us.
We especially need more eyes on what is happening in different city councils and planning and zoning meetings.
We are currently using our local League position on the issue of homelessness to lobby for affordable housing in numerous municipalities in Arapahoe County. We submitted numerous comments on the SouthGlenn development to the City of Centennial concerning the proposed redevelopment at SouthGlenn; we also urged our members who live in Centennial to comment. We have testified in Littleton concerning the proposed redevelopment in Aspen Grove. We also submitted comments to Aurora on the need for approval of Habitat for Humanity’s affordable housing units.
Contact Sonya Pennock for a meeting invitation.
