Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Women’s Equal Pay Day is the day that Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander women in the U.S. must work until before they earn the equivalent of what men were paid the previous year.
Because women earn less, on average, than men, they must work longer for the same amount of pay. The wage gap is even greater for most women of color. Starting in 2022, data now includes part-time, seasonal, and gig workers, many of whom are essential workers piecing together multiple part-time jobs to get by.

Concerned about homelessness and the lack of affordable housing in the metro area? New participants are welcome. Join us!
We especially need more eyes on what is happening in different city councils and planning and zoning meetings.
We are currently using our local League position on the issue of homelessness to lobby for affordable housing in numerous municipalities in Arapahoe County and in Douglas County. We submitted numerous comments on the SouthGlenn development to the City of Centennial concerning the proposed redevelopment at SouthGlenn; we also urged our members who live in Centennial to comment. We have testified in Littleton concerning the proposed redevelopment in Aspen Grove. We also submitted comments to Aurora on the need for approval of Habitat for Humanity’s affordable housing units.
