MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

When you join the League of Women Voters, you are automatically a member at three levels:
  • LWV of Arapahoe and Douglas Counties
  • LWV of Colorado
  • LWV of the United States
Dues paid are split among the local, state, and national Leagues.

Starting in February of 2025, League is changing the membership structure and dues.

Joining, renewing and paying membership dues will now be handled by the LWV of the United States on their website.

League continues to offer payment by credit card online, check, or bank account draft (ACH).

We will now offer optional automatic renewal to pay dues.

Optional donations above the dues amount will no longer go 100% to the local League, but will be split among the local, state, and national Leagues.

MEMBERSHIP TYPES

League will no longer offer a household membership.
League will offer these membership types:
  • Individual
  • Student
  • Life
MEMBERSHIP DUES
  • Individual: $75
    The recommended dues payment is $75.
    We offer membership from a minimum of $20 to the recommended amount of $75.
  • Student: $0
    The League of Women Voters of Arapahoe and Douglas Counties will offer free membership for one year to encourage students to join and participate in League activities.
  • Life: 0
    Members who have been members for fifty continuous years are offered free membership,
HOW TO JOIN OR RENEW


  • Step 1: Plan your amount

    Plan your dues amount and decide if you wish to make an optional donation in addition to your dues.

  • Step 2: Make an optional donation first

    If you wish to make an optional donation, we ask that you do that first before paying dues.

    Because the new membership structure will no longer allocate 100% of donations above the dues amount to the local League, we ask that you make any optional donations as a separate step first. Then the LWV of Arapahoe an Douglas Counties will continue to get 100% of those donations and we can continue to fund our local organizing and action.

    Make any optional donation first to the LWV of Arapahoe and Douglas Counties, then we'll point you to the LWV of the United States website to join or renew.

  • Step 3: Then renew or join

    Renew or join on the LWV of the United States website and choose your payment method
