About this event

Featured Community Event: John Lewis Good Trouble Lives On Weekend of Action July 17 - July 19, 2026

The fight to protect voting rights never ends, and right now, we’re witnessing a Jim-Crow-era effort from politicians and their billionaire friends to restrict our freedoms, silence our voices, and consolidate power. But in America, we choose our leaders. We will decide our future. The same spirit that fueled Selma, Montgomery, and the March on Washington lives on in our unified action.'

Come help celebrate the Boulder Good Trouble Activism Fair on Saturday, July 18, 10am - 1pm in the parking lot of the new location for our community public radio station, KGNU, 1720 14th Street in downtown Boulder. Former Civil Rights leader and long-time member of the House of Representatives John Lewis, a champion of voting rights, coined the phrase, "Get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and redeem the soul of America.” Six years after the passing of Congressman Lewis, we're organizing an event in our community to continue the legacy of John Lewis and pass it forward to future generations. Many organizations are working, in their own ways, to make a positive difference in the lives of the residents of Boulder County, CO, and the US., and a bunch of them will be at this event. Come learn about and visit with them, catch up with friends, and make new community connections. Register to vote or update your records. Join us to make good trouble!
