Colorado Air Quality Control Commission Air Emissions Regulations 3 and 7 Revisions Meeting - 10 AM

About this event

The public is invited to this Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Air Quality Control Commission Meeting on proposed changes to Air Emissions Regulations 3 and 7, Air emissions Reporting and Fee Updates, online.

Join a public meeting to discuss potential revisions to emissions reporting programs to streamline requirements. CDPHE released a new rule concept for emissions reporting requirements on Nov. 14. It applies to certain sources to minimize duplication of emissions reporting. The division is also considering potential revisions to current fees for emissions reporting, annual emissions, permit processing, and other submitted materials. The proposal includes potential revisions to Air Quality Control Commission Regulations 3 and 7. The division will also provide a brief update on levels of particulate matter 10 pollution in Colorado and how they compare to new federal standards.

In addition, the meeting will cover New Rule Concepts: Particulate Matter Pollution Maintenance

The division has released a new rule concept to revise Colorado’s plan to maintain its compliance with federal health standards for particulate matter 10 (PM10) in outdoor air. Join the upcoming public meeting to learn more about potential revisions to the PM10 plan.

Particulate matter is an air pollutant made up of very small pieces of debris such as dust, dirt, or soot. PM10 is particulate matter with a diameter of 10 microns or less. The division is considering revisions to remove federal oversight of PM10 requirements and define PM10 requirements as state-only because Colorado has maintained the national standards for over twenty years. The potential revisions would not impact the state’s current emissions control measures or air monitoring for particulate matter in the maintenance areas.
