LWVDC John Lewis Day of Commemoration and Action Evening Event - 3:30 PM MT

John Lewis Day of Commemoration and Action event

Honor the life and legacy of Congressman John Lewis as we continue to demand legislation that protects voting rights!

League is part of the nation-wide campaign to demand that the U.S. Congress prioritizes passage of these bills to protect voting rights and secure statehood for Washington, DC:
  • John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act
  • Freedom to Vote Act
  • Native American Voting Rights Act
  • The Washington, DC Admission Act

  • Did you know?
DC has more residents than Vermont or Wyoming

This is an effort by a broad coalition of organizations working to protect democracy and end voter suppression.
