Featured Community Event: Our Freedom Our Vote Teach-In - 4 PM MT

League of Women Voters voter registration table volunteers

Join us for a virtual teach-in online on June 25th, which marks eleven years since the disastrous Shelby County v. Holder decision gutted a key provision of the Voting Rights Act.

We'll discuss the threats to our freedom to vote and discuss the solutions, including how all of us can work together to strengthen our democracy and protect our sacred freedom to vote.

We plan to work with activists everywhere throughout the U.S. to highlight the urgency of this moment and plan for action together on July 17th, the John Lewis National Day of Commemoration and Action.

This effort is sponsored by the following organizations: the League of Women Voters, Transformative Justice Coalition, Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, Black Voters Matter, Declaration for American Democracy, Public Citizen, Fix Democracy First, DemCast USA, Vote.org, National Council of Jewish Women, Georgia Coalition for the Peoples Agenda, The Faithful Democracy Coalition, Southern Poverty Law Center, Mississippi, Missouri Voter Protection Coalition, Rise Up WV, Center for Common Ground, B.R.I.D.G.E. Building Responsible Individuals Developing Greater Examples, National Voter Corps, Common Defense, All About the Ballots, 18by Vote, People For the American Way, and Workers Circle.
