About this event
The League of Women Voters of Washington State invites you to "Cultivating Civic Conversations: About
The State Of Our Democracy", a ten week series about civic participation starting January 6. Sessions will be offered at two times: noon MT and 6:00 PM MT.
A note from LWVWA:
"We are anchoring our discussion with the LWVWA elementary school textbook, The State We're In: Washington. Written for 3-5 graders, it offers a spacious look at the range of civic engagement activities available to everyone. If you happen to live in another state, most of the content will apply to your situation. Some of the best discussions we had the last time we offered this class was around how different each state chooses to order its government. This variability adds to the complexity of civic engagement and often inhibits people from participating, so I really welcome people from all over the United States."
Free and open to the public. Registration is required.
