The Racial Equity Subcommittee of the Arapahoe County Justice Coordinating Committee will meet online.
The meeting will feature Jeff Schlanger, President & CEO of IntegrAssure, the independent monitor appointed to oversee Aurora Fire and Police policies and actions.
The purpose of the Racial Equity Subcommittee is to serve as an advisory group and resource on racial equity in the justice system for the Justice Coordinating Committee, local justice agencies, and underserved communities, through the following:
• Identify inequities in the local justice system.
• Collect and analyze data on equity issues.
• Develop preventative and rehabilitative strategies to address bias, and recommend these to
the Justice Coordinating Committee.
• Develop cultural competency among justice agencies and practitioners.
• Conduct community education, through the Justice Coordinating Committee and Arapahoe
County Board of County Commissioners.
