Featured Community Event: Hydraulic Fracturing Community Forum in Aurora Online

Concerned about the impact on residents by hydraulic fracturing, such as the proposed Civitas Lowry Ranch CAP project in southeast Aurora? Concerned about the climate change implications?

"Save the Aurora Reservoir" will host a public forum online to voice the public's concerns with dealing with hydraulic fracturing in residential areas.

If approved, the Lowry Ranch CAP project would drill pads as close as 2,000 feet of local residences and the shorelines of the Aurora Reservoir. Residents oppose polluting our water and air and creating other risks that communities have suffered from fracking.

Researchers have found that hydraulic fracturing has adverse effects on human health, especially in children and the elderly. This project is within the scope of multiple schools in the Cherry Creek school district.

Aurora residents can learn more and voice their opinions at this community forum online.
