The Douglas County School Board announced in its recent study session that its top priorities are making masks/vaccinations optional and repealing/replacing the school district's equity policy.

The December 7 special meeting will consider these agenda items, including whether to cancel their face mask mandate and their vaccination requirement:
* Retaining Outside Legal Counsel
* Pending Acquisition of CU South
* Revisions to Board Policy JLCC Communicable Diseases and Long-Term Illnesses
* Resolution Addressing Face Coverings and Other COVID Mitigation Requirements

The equity policy, in question after charter schools requested exemptions, will be dealt with in January.
