The League of Women Voters of Arapahoe and Douglas Counties January Meeting will be on Tuesday, January 18 online.

Part 1 of the meeting at 7:00 PM:

League of Women Voters of Arapahoe and Douglas Counties members will meet for our annual Program Planning at 7:00 PM online.

We need LWVADC member attendance to review, comment, and approve local and national issue positions.

This position review in January of each year is an important part of League's process of approving positions for action and lobbying, so we need our LWVADC members to be part of this meeting!

This year we'll review and approve local and national issue positions. We'll review our LWVADC positions and six LWVUS high priority policy positions. Note: We'll review and approve state positions at next year's meeting.

Please review the position summaries before the meeting. The LWVADC positions are located in this
file. Our summaries of the 6 top priority LWVUS positions are located in this directory.

LWVADC Program Planning's annual issue position review and approval is an important part of League's issue position and lobbying process, so we need our LWVADC members to comment and decide on these issues at this meeting!

LWVADC members will receive the January 18 online meeting link by email.

Contact Irma Princic for more information about LWVADC's Program Planning required review of LWVADC and LWVUS positions.

Part 2 of the meeting at 5:30 PM:

In addition, we invite all League members in Colorado to join us for a presentation explaining LWVCO's proposed new ELECTION SECURITY POSITION at 5:30 PM online.

Maud Naroll and the rest of the LWVCO Election Security Team will share information about this proposed position.

The online meeting connection information, the same link as for LWVADC Program Planning at 7:00 PM, will be emailed to all League members in Colorado. No registration is required.

We ask that members read about the proposed position before the meeting. You'll find the information here.

In addition to reading the information about why the position is needed and the text of the proposed position, please review the consensus questions that will be ask of League members as part of the position approval process.

LWVCO has scheduled an additional information on the proposed ELECTION SECURITY position for Wednesday, January 19 at 6:30 PM online. Register here.

Note: The same LWVCO proposed ELECTION SECURITY POSITION information is being presented in the LWVCO Leadership meetings January 13 and January 14; in our presentation on Tuesday, January 18 at 5:30 PM; and in an additional  LWVCO information meeting on Wednesday, January 19 at 6:30 PM. Members only need to attend one meeting to get information on the proposed position.

Important: All League members in Colorado are encouraged to attend LWVCO's final meeting,
League Position On Election Security, on Saturday, January 22 at 10:00 AM to discuss and vote on the consensus questions related to the new state position. Register here and help make Colorado League history!
